David M. Gross is the Founder and President of Software Conquest, Inc, (sub MrDataMining), a provider of software training and consulting services to mid and large companies. For the past 22 years he has led engaging, informative and humorous software training sessions from the production floor to high-tech training rooms, teaching classes for first time users to systems engineers.
Mr. Gross started his career in Information Technology 28 years ago as a legacy programmer for Standard Oil of Ohio (BP America) one of the world's largest oil & gas companies headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. His main responsibilities were maintenance programming and support for the series of programs that processed over $25MM in sales daily. In this role Mr. Gross learned structured programming and the importance of thorough documentation along with client interviewing techniques.
Mr. Gross then became a Systems Analyst at Picker International, a manufacturer of medical imaging equipment. At that position Mr. Gross was exposed to online programming and worked on a wide variety of projects. In 1986 Mr. Gross started his own consulting firm (Software Conquest, Inc.) working with small and medium size business providing software training and IT consulting services
Mr. Gross understands that every company situation is different. He has built his consulting practice on flexibility -- he analyzes his clients' needs and customizes training for each situation. Mr. Gross has completed large scale (5 years) and small-scale (one-day) software training projects for large and small businesses. He has also developed and delivered the course: Train the Software Trainer©, to National City Corp. In that scenario, Mr. Gross' trainees became National City's internal trainers who went on to successfully train over 1000 individuals within a two-year period.
